Sometimes your dreams of old become reality

Some 14 years ago, I was sitting around with my friends, in the southern Israeli town Beer Sheva, most of us musicians / DJ’s / studio freaks, we would meet up on a regular basis to discuss wassup :) and since the internet wasn’t as social as its today, and defo there was no facebook nor iphone :) the only way to properly communicate as a group, was to actually meet up… So we were discussing that super amazing album with a fantastic cover out on Blue Room Released that was THE label for us at that time.. The album was called ‘Bible Of Dreams’ now a timeless classic and one of the peaks of creation of Juno Reactor. We were quite in shock listening to the phattest beats out there, the use of percussion and live drumming throughout the CD, it was a great experience, and of course encountering those tracks, such as God Is God, Conga Fury and more in parties, was even more fun..

Last Antaris ( 2010 ) I had the pleasure to perform on last day before DJ Domino who on her side was replaced by Mike Maguire a DJ that many years of his career spent with Juno Reactor, and participated in some of the very known songs of the band. During all of his set I was waiting for him to play Rotorblade, that for me, as a fan is the ultimate track of Juno, because of the “Dune” samples and because of the atmosphere throughout the track, that for me, in a way made it a “pioneer” Goa/Psy trance of the 1990’s… I was almost sure that this time I gonna miss that track, as the show was almost over, but he played it as encore :) So being extremely satisfied, I came over to greet him and thank him for playing my favorite tune of JR. After we exchanged greetings, I found out that my “legendary” new friend likes my music and asked for a CD!! Hehe that wasn’t expected – of course his wish was my command, and I was surprised further, when after some 9 months Mike and Ben Watkins ( the man behind the project ) called me and asked me if I want to remix that Rotorblade track for upcoming remixes CD of Juno Reactor… That’s what they call quite a touchdown… I didn’t see that coming… It’s amazing that track of 1993 had full recorded audio files, and in a week’s time the remix job was done. I really tried to “re-live” the spirit of the original in it’s new form, it was extremely important to me me to keep that “Goa” feel and loveliness and I hope I managed.

So above is the preview for that remix. Below is the Beat Port link for those that like it and want to own it:
